  2. Bring back those rough drafts Thursday
  3. Final papers due Friday at the beginning of class. If you are late to class, your paper is late. If your paper is not printed by the start of class, your paper is late. Plan accordingly. Click here for the “final read” handout.

Homework, Week of 5/15-5/19

  1. Vocab event Wednesday, 5/17. Bring your list!
    1. Choose 10 words from our comprehensive list.
    2. Choose a creative, cohesive way to demonstrate your knowledge of the definition and/or usage of all 10 words.
    3. Some ideas:
      1. Write a poem or short story that uses the words
      2. Create a collage that combines the words with meaningful images
      3. Make your own vocabulary test with multiple types of questions
      4. Write a scene or screenplay that incorporates the words
    4. Be prepared to share by next Wednesday (yes, the same day as satires).
    5. Rubric:
      Task Points Calculator Totals
      10 words used correctly to demonstrate meaning +2 points per word, up to 20 ______/20
      Work is creative/ interesting/ funny/shows effort/unambiguous +1 point per word ______/10

  2. Check your GoogleDocs for comments on  your research proposals – I am almost finished!
  3. Vocab event next week. Review.
  4. Consider being interviewed for a book. You can view the project Instagram here:www.instagram.com/myamericaneducation . If it looks interesting, I can give you a copy of the parent letter and media release form.
